Abstract

This study examines constructs of Intolerance of Uncertainty, its history and evolution. We reviewed studies focused on IU and anxiety and depression disorders. There is a wide range of evidence that shows relationship between IU and depression. However, we could not find such studies on Russian sample. Hence, the aim of the present study was to confirm relationship between IU and depression on a sample of Russian students. Results revealed that IU score was significantly positively associated with depression score. It was also found that depression score was significantly positively associated with Interpersonal intolerance of uncertainty score. This aspect of IU was not examined before.
