Organizational management structure as a system characteristic of the organization

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the organizational structure as a basic characteristic of the organization. The author is convinced of the systemic role of the structure in the development and functioning of the organization.
The article discusses the stages of the study of organizational structures by foreign and domestic researchers, the terminological diversity of the wording of the concept of “organizational structure”, its place and role as a tool of achieving the goals of the organization. The quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the organizational structure and its functions are analyzed in detail. Particular attention is paid to the schemes of organizational structures – organigrams. In conclusion, the evolution of the attitude of researchers to the organizational structure is traced from the standpoint of two main theoretical approaches: classical and dynamic.
